Did you know?

It’s true that the lemons used to make up the designs for the “Fête du Citron®” don’t come from Menton.

After all, the Menton lemon is a rare product, i.e. not as common as lemons from elsewhere, and it now has a protected geographical indication (PGI).

What’s more, even if we used all the lemons produced in Menton, they wouldn’t be enough to produce the magnificent citrus fruit designs that have made the Festival so famous.
And because Menton lemons are so good, it’s better to see them being enjoyed by gourmets who fight for them all over the world.
