Guided tour: Cap-Martin Maginot Fort

From 14 to 28 February

Tickets

Located at the eastern end of the Maginot Line and built between 1930 and 1933, this military structure was designed to protect French territory from a potential Italian invasion.

It played a role during the fighting between French and Italian forces in June 1940. Today, three steel observation domes can still be seen emerging from the vegetation of Cap-Martin, revealing only part of this fort, which conceals a complex network of underground corridors more than 25 metres below ground.
